RETURN, REFUND & SHIPPING DAMAGE POLICY
Effective Date: August 6, 2026
ALL SALES ARE FINAL
Crownforge Iron products are handcrafted, made to order, or customized according to customer-selected measurements, designs, finishes, hardware, and specifications. Therefore, we do not accept voluntary returns or exchanges for buyer’s remorse, changes of mind, ordering the wrong size or configuration, customer measurement errors, color preference, installation conditions, or other reasons unrelated to an error by Crownforge Iron or shipping damage.
This policy does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
CUSTOMER-PROVIDED MEASUREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS
Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving all measurements, dimensions, designs, finishes, swing directions, hinge locations, lockbox locations, hardware selections, and other specifications before fabrication begins.
A product manufactured according to the measurements and specifications approved by the customer is considered correctly made and is not eligible for return, exchange, or refund because it does not fit due to:
-
Incorrect customer-provided measurements;
-
Unreported changes to the opening or installation area;
-
Improper installation;
-
Site conditions; or
-
Specifications approved by the customer.
Customers should have measurements verified by a qualified installer before approving fabrication.
CROWNFORGE IRON ERRORS
If a product does not materially match the measurements, design, finish, or specifications approved in writing because of a confirmed Crownforge Iron fabrication error, we will correct the issue at no additional charge.
Depending on the circumstances, Crownforge Iron will provide one of the following remedies:
-
Repair or modification;
-
Replacement or remanufacture; or
-
A full refund to the original payment method after the affected product is returned.
No restocking fee will be charged when the return results from a confirmed Crownforge Iron error.
The customer must contact Crownforge Iron promptly after delivery and provide photographs, measurements, the order number, and a written explanation of the problem. The product must not be installed, cut, drilled, welded, painted, refinished, or otherwise modified before Crownforge Iron has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and provide a resolution.
If a return is required because of our confirmed error, Crownforge Iron will provide return instructions and arrange or pay for reasonable return transportation. Refunds will be processed after the returned product is received and inspected.
SHIPPING DAMAGE AND INSURANCE
Products shipped by Crownforge Iron include shipping insurance for covered loss or damage caused by the shipping carrier while the product is in transit.
Customers must carefully inspect the shipment at delivery. Remove enough protective plastic to inspect the product, but do not remove the product from its pallet or remove the securing straps before completing the inspection.
If significant damage is visible:
-
Photograph the damage, packaging, pallet, shipping label, and bill of lading;
-
Describe the damage on the delivery receipt;
-
Do not sign that the shipment was received in good condition;
-
Refuse delivery when the damage is substantial; and
-
Contact Crownforge Iron immediately.
Any concealed shipping damage should be reported to Crownforge Iron immediately after discovery. Customers must preserve the product, pallet, straps, packaging, shipping documents, and all damaged materials while the claim is reviewed.
Crownforge Iron will assist with and manage the carrier-insurance claim. Depending on the nature of the damage, the available resolution may include repair, replacement, remanufacture, or a refund. Carrier insurance procedures do not eliminate any legal rights the customer may otherwise have.
UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS
Customers must receive written return authorization from Crownforge Iron before shipping or returning any product. Products returned without authorization may be refused.
Return authorization does not apply to customer-remorse returns because made-to-order and customized products are final sale.
REFUNDS
When a refund is legally required or approved under this policy, it will be issued to the original payment method after the returned product is received and inspected.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the bank or payment provider. Crownforge Iron will not deduct a restocking fee from a refund involving a confirmed Crownforge Iron fabrication error, a materially incorrect product, or another situation in which a full refund is required by law.
SHIPPING DELAYS AND UNAVAILABLE ORDERS
If Crownforge Iron cannot ship an online order within the promised timeframe, we will notify the customer and provide the option to agree to a revised shipping date or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund, as required by applicable law.
